Durgun Range of 4 products
The Durgun range started with the Durgun 45 a mortar gun which allows the user to quickly and easily grout between patio slabs and other similar jobs. This was followed by the Durgun 38, a grouting gun whose unique construction allows the user to avoid drips and mess.
The story :
Both of these products were taken on by GreatStar as again, we realised the potential of the market for this type of product if production, packaging and distribution could be made cost effective.
Moulds were made, the product produced and packaging was finalised, would these be received as well in the market place? We approached customers, they took them and they are now listed in several large retailers.
Following the success of the first two products a third - 'Lift and Lock', has been added to the range - a tool which eases door and board hanging and coming soon the new Durgan 40 - Watch this space!
Both the Coveasy and Durgun 40 have been introduced to the USA market, The Durgan is already selling well and orders are imminent for the Coveasy.
The system is as follows:
An inventor brings his idea to us, we take a look - discuss possibilities and probabilities for the market. There are a lot of considerations at this point and this is where our experience in the market serves us well in deciding which products will work and which won’t.
Once the decision has been made to go into production we convert the original idea into a finished and marketable / saleable product, package it and sell it to our customers.
The cost to the inventor is Zero, and we fund the entire package.
